HEAD FIRST. TURBANS.

Turbans! I love the cultural look turbans give to an outfit and they're so on-trend. I will definiately be including a few in my Autumn/Winter wardrobe this year!

TIM WALKER & KARLIE KLOSS FOR W MAG.

Tim Walker is such an influential photographer. He's photographic style is genuine and unique and does not seek to imitate other styles. His shoots tell a story and create an image of fantasy- like a fairytale or child's storybook. It's amazing when fashion can be recreated this way.

"As a child, I loved children’s books. Today I see my work is often reminiscent of the images I studied for hours.... Everything is connected to what I drew upon as a child.’"
[Walker, 2007]

SHOES BY BALENCIAGA.

Balenciaga's Autumn/Winter 2010 collection featured shoes which are simply amazing! The designs are extremely innovative, looking like wearable works of art (definitely not for the foot-shy). I'm in LOVE! The colours, the woodwork, the combination of textile. They would make almost any outfit look delicious.

VOGUE PARIS: THE PARTY SHOOT

Featured in Vogue Paris' 90th Anniversary edition (October 2010), models Anja Rubik, Isabeli Fontana and Natasha Poly sport Balmain dresses, Bright coloured fur coats and ski wear. The fact that cameras, stylists and directors are in each shot makes it that much more authentic and interesting, seeing clothes on the floor and makeup artists at work. Love the coats too!

FOR THE LOVE OF AITKEN JOLLY.

Stumbling across this photograher could possibly be one of the greatest blogging experiences thus far. I can't remember exactly how I found him but when I did I was on the website for hours! and I would have pasted every photo here if I could. I love the facial close ups in some and then focus on pattern in others. I love the saturation contrasts between colour and black and white. Love it all.
