Jason Wu's SS12 collection wowed many with his print dominated show. The designer collaborated with graffiti artist, KAWS for the petal prints seen on most of the collection(T-SHIRTS, Skirts, dresses and shorts). 

Jason's take on the traditional with a twist was seen in his modern 50s touch of bright colours, sheer shirt-dresses and skirts with trains. Not forgetting the floor length ball-gowns. 

I WANT one of those petal-print sheer shirts. Love it!!

New York Fashion Week Fall 2011 collections: My Picks. 

As usual NYFW featured amazing collections from numerous designers. I love the colour-blocking and geometric shapes of Julian Louie, mixed with winters greys and blacks. Fun and cool.

 Isaac Mizrahi on the other hand is 'sugar and spice and all things nice' with sweet candy colours, bows and a poodle to go with it. 

United Bamboo featured menswear inspiration, where tailoring was a key theme throughout, however using soft wools to create a softer look. 

Phillip Li's collection consisted of functional clothing made into key wardrobe pieces, showing pieces from silk dresses to leather carrot shape trousers and outerwear.

He goes without any introduction Salieu is one of my favourite male models. He's simply amazing and these photos need not be explained!

JIL SANDER AUTUMN WINTER '11.

I came across Jil Sander's Menswear A/W 2011 collection and I love it! It reminds me of the Spring/Summer Womenswear collection with all the pops of colour. Its a refreshing alternative to menswear with colour being incorporated into items such as tailored suits, jumpers and trousers. I'm loving the simplistic designs combined with colour.

SPRING SUMMER TREND. STRIPES.

For Spring/Summer designers have included huge amounts of colour, pattern and texture in their collections. Particularly bright colours and stripes! A nice transition from the neutrals and duller colours of this current season (Spring/Summer '10 wasn't even really big on brights) - however bright is definitely baaack! Designers such as Prada, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Jil Sander and Junya Watanabe take an artistic, digital approach to their collections this season, taking clear inspiration from op-artist Bridget Riley.

MEET COREY BAPTISTE.

Corey Baptiste left his mark during Milan’s Spring/Summer 2011 fashion week. He walked for Giorgio Armani, Emporio Armani, Canali and Calvin Klein. He also starred in three campaigns for Fall/Winter 2010 including United Colors of Benetton, DKNY Jeans and DKNY Men. Corey also became one of the faces for Gap’s Fall/Winter 2010 advertisement.

A nice new face to add to the male modelling industry. Love his look!

  So I was in New York during Fashion week this September and it was an amazing experience. New York is filled with so much inspiration, especially during Fashion Week. It's lively and fun and loud and full of amazing people. Rajvi Mohan, Indashio and Manuel de La Cruz are a few of the amazing colletions I saw, And already, back in London I've left wanting more of such a fantastic city!
